Barnaby Bear spends the day with Violet

Barnaby Bear met a new friend called Violet while he was in Uganda. Violet invited him to spend a day with her.

She lives here with her grandma and grandad, and her brothers, sisters, and cousins.

seven o'clock Violet gets up at seven o'clock and sweeps the house.
She helps get the younger children dressed and sets off for school.
Violet has her breakfast at playtime, like most of the other children in school.

five o'clock By five o'clock, Violet has got home again. Now it is time to do some household chores...

At last, at 8 o'clock, it is time for their evening meal.

After all that hard work, Barnaby Bear is glad it is time to eat.
